Windjammer

keeping audiences surprised and engaged by an ever-changing soundscape. Using varied arrangements of acoustic guitar, whistles, accordion, synthesizer and percussion, they set their rich stories in a context of all their own making.

Windjammer are an exciting young three-piece from South Devon, blending self-penned songs and tunes with original contemporary arrangements of traditional English folk music.

Turning unflinchingly from soft delicate emphasis to shoulder rolling grind, and from light harmonies to prog-infused instrumentalism, they have a habit of keeping audiences surprised and engaged by an ever-changing soundscape. Using varied arrangements of acoustic guitar, whistles, accordion, synthesizer and percussion, they set their rich stories in a context of all their own making.

They have been played several times on BBC Radio 3 and performed for BBC Introducing at Latitude and Cambridge Folk Festival in 2019 amongst others.
